Peace and Joy to You and Yours!
Have Joy with Christmas Treats
Have peace with wishes
With stocking stuffer s
And big fat Turkey too
Sweet furry teddy bears
And all the love
Of many tomorrows
Please dont be blue!
When I was five my family gathered for a reunion at the beach in Emerald Isle, N.C, although that was years ago and there has been so much more growth since then, when it was time to go I was so sad. I loved the beach and I did not want to leave. I have not changed; I still feel the same way.
No one seemed to realize how sad I was, my misery at not being able to stay at the ocean. I felt so happy there.
I discovered that someone did care. Leaving in the car, Aunt Joan stopped us before we pulled away from the parking lot. She handed me a small bag and smiled, “Here Missy, this is for you!”
Everyone looked at me and I was smiling.
Inside was a bag full of treats. Beautiful shells, shiny rocks and lots of memories to take home with me.
Aunt Joan was a wonderful aunt; she really cared and was full of love. She was willing to go out of her way to make someone else happy. A sad little girl that loved the beach! I realized, as I gazed at the shells throughout my childhood, those were the essentials of gift giving.
My Prayer: ‘Lord, that’s the kind of gift I want for my friends, Father, a gift that will stay with them forever!’
Let some laughter into your heart!
Think of someone you know who needs cheering up and ask God for the right time to ease their heart with love and an act of kindness.
“He who has a merry heart has a continual feast.
Although Aunt Joan is gone to heaven now, I still remember that beautiful heart and loving nature she had for all who came into her path. Young and old, or rich or poor she loved us all.
Christmas was so much fun around her. Now I am her age when she died, and Christmas is different. So many loved ones have gone on to be with the Lord, now it is my job to try and help and love all that I can. Aunt Joan and my precious Mom taught me that, the Love of Jesus that is so precious, they told me and showed me, now I pray I can show the same love.
Its Christmas everywhere
It’s almost Christmas Eve
In another hour it will be
That magical day and night
Of Jesus birth
New day and dawn
That hope brings
In our hearts
When it’s hard to say
When it’s hard to pray
‘I love you’
Is simply enough
God Bless you all
Have a good night!
