Blessed is the season which engages the whole world in a conspiracy of love ~Hamilton Wright Mabi

Personalized gifts make a bold statement: “You’re special and nothing else will do.” Personalized gifts tell the receiver you’re not just satisfied with the regular, the usual or common gift—you’ve put some thoughts into the gift-giving process and taken the trouble to make the gift special and unique. It also tells the receiver you’re one savvy gift-person—you’re not run-off-the-mill and you’re not satisfied with just something you can lift off the store shelf.

A personalized gift stands out in other ways. It is often cherished as it is one of a kind. Some personalized gifts become keepsakes, some become mementos of precious moments shared, some are reminders of love and all will most definitely bring smiles to the face of the receiver. With personalized gifts, you never have to worry if you’ve chosen the right gifts, you never have to worry about finding it in the dumpster the day after—it’s customized and therefore it carries sentimental value.

Perhaps the best Yuletide decoration is being wreathed in smiles.~ Anonymous

For many, Christmas is about gift-giving to celebrate the essence of the occasion—God gave the gift of His Son to mankind, so the idea of gift-giving continues. It’s a time to connect with family and friends and giving gifts is one way of showing that affection.

Christmas Personalized Gift Ideas

Personalized gifts often allow you to add a photo, date, name, monogram, event name, special messages and more. Often your wish is their command. Here are some popular ideas:

Customized Christmas Ornaments

If there is no joyous way to give a festive gift, give love away.~ Anonymous

Christmas Decorations

Not only will the personalized Christmas ornament sparkle on the tree, it will sparkle in the heart of the receiver. Image an ornament with a unique message or photo—whether it’s the baby first Christmas or the child’s tenth Christmas or the first Christmas spent together as husband and wife, a personalized ornament can capture all of the sentiments. Not just for this year but for years to come.

You can also personalize/customize Christmas stockings, Christmas runners, Christmas snow globes, Christmas candles and Christmas mugs or cookie jars.

Christmas Photos and Mementos

A picture captures a moment for eternity. What better way of “eternalizing” the moment than to customize the pictures with a special frame or message? They become lasting memories. Whether you’re a doting grandmother looking for the perfect gift or a husband looking to surprise your wife, a personalized photo will make you the ultimate winner.

You can also personalize keepsake—a special item that carries special meaning to the person concerned. A horse-lover will love a horse figurine with special engraving, for instance.

The best of all gifts around any Christmas tree: the presence of a happy family all wrapped up in each other.~ Burton Hillis

Christmas Jewelry

Never tempt a woman with jewelry—they’re quite genetically predisposed to love them. On the other hand, you cannot go wrong with personalized jewelry. Consider the oyster of possibilities: necklaces, rings, pendants, bracelets, earrings, charms, toe-rings, navel ring, and costume jewelry. You can get any of these personalized and wow them over.

Customized Poetry

For those who love words and love what words can do, Customized poetry is the ultimate gift. What is more enduring and endearing than customized poetry for a loved one? There are many websites out there that offer to write poems for you. All you have to do is supply them with what you want included in the poem and they will craft a personalized poem just for that particular person. Other customized poem websites will allow you to choose already written poems and offer you the opportunity to personalize them by embossing names, events or messages.

There are more personalized gift ideas out there and here are some more, just in case any of them falls through the broad categories:

For cooks—personalized utensils, apron, kitchenware, dishes.

For the Sports lover—personalized golf balls, golf paraphernalia, rackets, balls, sportswear, helmets, sweat bands.

For the Homebody—bath robes, blankets, slippers, throws and quilts

For the workaholic—personalized office gifts—stationary, planner and even electronic gadgets.

For the pet lover—customized pet dish, bandanas, pillows, storage box.

I love your topic. I have an idea...take an older shutter (wood) which I get or find in resale shops. I paint it in Christmas colors, write their Last name on top and you take clothes pins and attach christmas cards to it...the clothes pins are in the back and hang it up. Great hub

Om, I'm guilty as well of buying gift cards, especially for people I don't know that well. But for those special ones, they deserve some thoughts to go into picking the gifts. Good to see you and appreciate your comments.

Very nice! Giving a personalized gift to someone is a great way to show that you care so much about them. But I also understand those (including some of my friends) who like to give gift cards. It's not necessarily that they don't care; they just really hate and have no patience for xmas shopping. lol

Anginwu, I don't think there is anything more special than a personalized gift as you have obviously spent more time to do something special. You have some awesome ideas.
