Gift giving is an important part of our culture and we enjoy it. But with the giving of gifts come hidden expenses way beyond the gift itself. In addition to purchasing a present, we also buy a card or gift tag, wrapping paper or gift bag, and ribbons or bows to adorn the packages. Let's face it, the price of all these items can really add up!

So, put your Ingenuity to work. Smart buying and DIY creativity can save you a tidy sum and allow you to put your investment into what is more important: the gift!

Start by saving the cost of cards and gift tags by using free printables!

Yeah, I fall back to gift bags sometimes too but nothing beats a really nicely wrapped package.

Thanks PeggyW! I really appreciate the vote up. My brother has always used newspaper to wrap his gifts. In fact, the didn't need to tag it since we knew who it was from! The bow, however, is out of his league! LOL.
