Halloween is celebrated every year on 31st October. It has its origins from the ancient Celtic festival of 'Samhain'. During this festival, people would wear costumes and light bonfires to ward off ghosts. During the eighth century, Pope Gregory III declared November 1st as All Saints Day. The evening before was referred to as All Hallows Eve or Halloween.

Currently, we consider Halloween as a festival for wearing costumes, decorating our houses and trick-or-treating. However, we forget the purpose of the day and the evil that lurks among us. And a lot of bad things seem to happen on this particular day. Here are some spooky Halloween stories to keep you awake all night!
