Santorini greece is an an immensely popular island and is Greece's ultimate romantic destination. It is in the southern Aegean Sea, near Greece’s mainland. Santorini is pronounced [sadoˈrini] The island is at the site of one of the largest volcano eruptions that has been recorded history, but don’t let that put you off because it happened 3600 years ago.
What can you do there?
There is so much to do and see. There are lots of beaches and museums to visit. That also includes Sea Excursions. You can also visit different Churches or just go on escorted Coach tours which is an easy affordable way to see Santorini. How about Shopping and Places to Stay?
There are many places to shop in Santorini and the shops are open til late – about 10pm. Thira and Oia are popular shopping destinations. However, do bear in mind that Santorini is a bit more expensive than the other islands. It has a Night Life too. The currency used is Euros.

Shopping in Santorini
Santorini specials include: White aubergine, fava caper - a variety of tomato keftedes, with slices of tomatoes which are fried in batter. You could also try fresh fish grilled in tavernas, especially those near to the sea..
