Single on Valentine's Day

Updated on October 13, 2011

Single on Valentine's Day?

Surviving Valentine's Day Single

Here are some hopefully helpful hints for it:

1) Go out with your other single friends.Boys night. Girls night.

Call up your other single chicas or boys and plan a night out on the town. Last year, we did a singles Pub Crawl with about 15 guys and gals and it was one of the funnest nights of the year! We hit up 5 bars and just had a blast.

2) You can do a ladies night in.

Call up the single friends and watch chick flicks and drink wine and eat chocolate. Being a guy, I may not be the best at advising this, but I have some female friends who did a big cooking night and had a lot of fun with it last year.

3) Find a last minute Valentine.

I have tons of people on my facebook/myspace complaining about being single. You can always take one of your friends out as a friend and be valentine's... I did that a few years ago with a good friend and we ended up having a blast over dinner and drinks.

Do you feel pressured by Valentine's Day?

You have such a positive attitude! And really good ideas. Nice Hub. Sorry it took me so long to read it! Plus the pic of the button was great! Years ago I had a guy friend I hung out with. The deal was, when we went to bars I had to introduce him to any girl he wanted to meet, and he had to introduce me to any guy I wanted to meet. It worked out great. Plus we always had an "escape" in case someone came on too strong... "We came together."

You could even go one step further, and send your friends an anonymous Valentine's cards - it would brighten their spirits to know someone special is thinking of them, and make you feel good too!

I love the cupid pic btw! LOL
