10 Songs to Celebrate Father's Day

Updated on March 5, 2015

Mother's Day came and went. Now it's time to acknowledge the important men in our lives. We know that the role of a father carries a valuable weight and makes a big impact on how we are shaped. There to give us sound discipline and love all around, he's helping to turn young boys into men, and daddy's little girl will always be his princess.

Although we have appreciation all year round, Father's Day is a special time to further express just how much we care. Whether you refer to him as Papa, Dad, Daddy or Pops, here are some songs to help you celebrate the father figure in your life.

For those who may not have always had someone physically there to call Dad, remember that God is our ultimate Father.

1. My Father's Eyes - Eric Clapton

“How do I teach him? What do we play? …That’s when I need my father’s eyes.”

2. Through the Eyes of My Father - Brianna Haynes

"I see love from my Father in Heaven through the eyes of my father on Earth."

“A strong hand as your guide; Feel his strength by your side. He’ll give anything.”

3. Babyfather - Sade

"A daddy's love comes with a lifetime guarantee."

...I'd play a song the would never, never end. How I'd love, love, love to dance with my father again."

6. The Greatest Man I Never Knew - Reba McEntire and Kelly Clarkson

“Everything he gave to us took all he had.”

7. Just the Two of Us - Will Smith
