Spiderman Costumes

Spiderman Halloween Costumes

Spiderman is always a big part of Halloween, and wearing a Spiderman costume itself, in the traditional color or his later on black costume, it is a lot of fun to play the part of the webslinger at a party during any time of the year.

One thing I found concerning Spiderman costumes, is while in a number of other stories, support characters were just as important as the main characters, and so there are a ton of choices to make on who you want to me.

In the case of Spiderman, it seems Spidey himself is such the dominate choice, that there's really not a lot of other costumes to choose from, and it's also hard to have a theme party because not a lot of characters have been introduced in the movies that would lend themselves to great costumes. (How would you make Sandman?)

But there are a couple of interesting villains you could find or make some costumes of, with the obvious one being the Green Goblin, although you can occasionally find a Doc Ock costume around at times.

Two Different Spiderman Costumes

There are two basic types of Spiderman costumes themselves, as far as remaining true to the story, and the blue and red one below is the main one. While I show it as an adult costume here, there are all sizes of Spiderman costumes from and infant on up, and also including your dog if you want to dress him up as Spiderman.

Although I like the traditional Spiderman costume, I also really like the black one below it which was introduced at a much later time than the original as far as in connection to the comic book series goes.

Spiderman Villain Costumes

Dr. Octopus and the Green Goblin are among the more well-known villains who oppose Spiderman, and while they both look great as costumes, I have to give the Green Goblin an edge as for who I'd want to dress up as. Doc Ock is great, but those tentacles would be a problem all night long, and keeping them on while everyone was tempted to yank on them would be a real challenge throughout the night. Great costumes though.

While there aren't a lot of choices for Spiderman costumes, as far as extra characters, the vast majority of children and young people prefer to wear the Spiderman costume anyhow, and as you can see, a couple of villains' costumes shown here would be a great way to dress up for the Halloween party when hanging out as a group.
