Holiday Themed iOS Games

If you are looking, for an app for creating a drinking game among friends, than this is the perfect St. Patrick's day game for the iPad. Leapin' Leprechaun Lite it's simple to play and yet a challenge. It is a free game that is perfect for incorporating into a grown up activity on the holiday or an app for the kids to play on this Irish day of joy. I was looking for something fun for the younger kids I am around to play with on St. Patrick's day and this is a fun app. The main character is a little leprechaun and the game is easy to play, simply with a flick of the finger send him on his way towards the gold. I would say that it would be perfect for kids between 6 and 12 and anyone that wants to be in the spirit of the holidays. It think it would be fun to play a game or two of Leapin' Leprechaun with a couple of buddies celebrating in true spirit of the holiday with a little friendly competition and a beverage or two.

Playing the game

St. Paddy dressed in his holiday best takes a big leap towards the gold with your finger swipe and has rainbow streaming off his feet as he tries to land in the gold piles. The game has several levels as you start the game select the first highlighted gold pile and that will take you into the level, accumulate more gold and advance to the next stages of the game. St. Paddy only has 3 lives and since he is flying pretty high if he does not land in the gold pile he quickly disappears into the ground and uses one of his lives, but the game is made for advancing as when you miss the gold 3 times simply click retry and start from the level you were at. You do not have to start back at the beginning. Each time St. Paddy lands in the gold you are awarded 7 gold coins. There is many different levels, so keep landing in the gold to continue moving forward and travel to all of St. Paddy's locations on the island of Ireland. Check out the screen shots to see the game in action. Hope you have fun on St. Patrick's day and can enjoy an app for the holiday.

To get this app you can find it on the Apple iTunes store under Leapin' Leprechaun Lite - it is a free app. Finding great holiday apps and games is a fun way to participate in the day, of course you have to be wearing your green on St. Patrick's day and I'm sure there is even a green iPad case out there somewhere that would keep you covered too.
