Saint Patricks Day by any other name?

Updated on February 28, 2013

No no to St Patty’s day

Please do not call it this wonderful day "St Patty’s day". Look at the pictures below-Does that magnificant mountain look like it could be called "Croagh Patty"No it doesn't!

It’s bad enough that some people in Ireland call it Paddys day -but at least Paddy is a commonly used abbreviation for the name Patrick-or the Irish (Gaelic)version of the name - Padraig.

Patty might be an Americanisation-but it does not sound good or genuine. We all speak English and Patrick is not difficult to say –so please use it?

It’s Irish and should remain Irish. Please respect it, and have fun.

Some real genuine modern rural Irish Photos -with a twist-for your Saint Patricks day enjoyment.

A West of Ireland phenomenon-also not uncommon. But be careful they don't seem to recognize danger!

Thank you so much . The bra chain is a concept used to increase awareness of Breast Cancer and to raise funds-it is in the Guinness book of records. Australia holds the record with 166,625 bras, -101.7 miles. Unfortunately we didn't beat them-but we raised lots of money!
