This coming christmas you may be thinking of gifts to get your good mate, boyfriend, nephew or just all round good friends and relatives. If you know they play starcraft 2 or intend to, then you may consider getting some starcraft 2 christmas gifts! This can come in the form of many things, although if you do know they want starcraft 2, but have not purchased it yet, you can always buy the game just for them! Amazon usually have offers for the christmas season, however you can also purchase the digital copy from blizzard (without boxes or the disc)

In addition, you can also pre order the first Starcraft 2 expansion Heart of the Swarm for them! Similarly this can be done through Amazon (for a physical box and cd so it can be wrapped up if needed) or virtually from Blizzard store (downloaded).

The next item you could get for them, if you know they've already been playing the game for a while, may be slightly trickier. It depends in part on your budget, as well as what you know they have or have not.

A good as well as safe (in terms of not buying the wrong thing) and rather importantly cheap option is to buy a starcraft themed mousepad.

They won't set you back more than $13.91 or a bit and they look good and should make their way to any starcraft 2 player's desk. You don't really have to be too choosy and you have the liberty of picking just about any mousepad. I personally like the marauder mousepad, which is one of the units used in high level play and is seen often when professional players (people who get played to play games) duke it out with each other.

It works very well as a cheap starcraft gift!

Another good item to get would be to buy a proper gaming mouse, especially if you know the target recipient of your christmas gift has a really big computer screen! A good choice that is starcraft 2 themed is the Razer Spectre mouse, but if you're afraid the person you're giving a gift to has a short lifespan of using things then you might want to go for the more all purpose razer gaming mouse which looks cool in themselves without piggybacking off a franchise. Deathadder is a pretty popular option for american as well as european gamers due to its ergonomic shape and high precision laser engine inside. It also comes in at almost half the price of a Razer Spectre

Another good option would be to buy T-shirts. They are affordable at under $20, and you definitely know they like your present if you see them wearing it after christmas! Another good way to get an inexpensive starcraft gift, or cheap christmas present. Well, not as cheap as the mousepad, but a respectable price. $20 for a present for a friend is still a worthwhile investment especially for christmas or even just as a small gift. They also serve as durable presents, and will still remain in the wardrobe even when the expansion is out.

If you have the budget you can also consider spending extra on a spanking new piece of hardware like a razer keyboard, which stretches into the high double digits. The non Razer Marauder keyboards do tend to be a bit cheaper, by about 30 dollars or so.

One other possible gift is to buy them Starcraft II books. There is currently a limited edition autorgraphed Heaven's Devils book from the Starcraft 2 universe out on amazon for a rather affordable price of $20. Some ghosts comics are available too featuring Nova and Tosh.
