Alan Hangover Costume

See Alan and Baby Carlos Costume at its Best!

Be Hangover Alan for Halloween

Everyone picks the same tired and popular characters to be each Halloween. It quickly gets redundant and boring. If your considering a truly original costume, Alan from The Hangover will fit the bill. The character gives you the leeway to be a complete a jackass and everyone will love you for it! Alan from The Hangover is a relatively easy costume to piece together and even buy in its complete form via eBay.

Phil Wenneck: Whose f..... baby is that?
Stu Price: Alan, are you sure you didn't see anyone else in the suite?
Alan Garner: Yeah, I checked all the rooms... no one's there. Check its collar or something.

Alan Garner's outfit on that fateful night in The Hangover is classic. The costume is easy enough but be sure to bone up on your quotes and watch your intake so your Hangover costume stays an act and not just a bad joke on yourself.

Essentials of an Alan Garner: The Hangover Costume: (Top down)

  • Beard and moustache
  • Trademark Sunglasses
  • Junk Food T -shirt (a must)
  • Man Purse ( I know it's a satchel)
  • Tight White Levis

For the really committed!

  • Carlos Baby Doll
  • Sunglasses for Carlos
  • Bjorn style baby carrier

Alan The Hangover Costume - Complete Costume

Whether you get the costume parts via ebay or amazon, the price will be about the same. The potential savings comes in IF you want to accessorize with an actual baby doll or pick up the cool officially licensed Baby Bjorn shirt from The Hangover that actually pictures little Carlos with his sunglasses in his carrier. Since Amazon will give you free shipping you are more likely to get a deal if you choose to break the mold in your costume selection.

Some smart sellers on eBay figured out that there would be a demand for the set and created a great complete Alan from The Hangover costume, it does not include the white 501 Levis though.

The exact shirt worn by Alan Garner in the movie can no longer be bought on Amazon as it is sold out, the complete set on ebay is one of the few remaining sources.

Alan The Hangover Costume T Shirt Junk Food

As mentioned the "Junk Food , Human Tree' T shirt pictured in the movie is sold on Amazon, but some very similar shirts are available that make reference to the "Wolf Pack" and use the same color scheme. Additionally, a Baby Bjorn style shirt would be a good match to the Alan Garner costume.

The exact shirt is still available on eBay, alone or as part of the Alan Garner Complete Halloween set. The shirt is fitted so one should buy one size larger than they would usually. These are going fast and were a limited run only made popular by the film.

Alan from The Hangover Costume Sunglasses

Both Alan and Carlos wear very signature sunglasses. Replica glasses are available on Amazon or BluBlockers can be purchased on ebay or perhaps you just have pair laying around.

Remember you need 2 pair, one for you and one for Carlos.

Alan The Hangover Costume White Levis

Maybe you have White Levis still?

Perhaps that's what draws you to Alan in the first place, if you need white levis on the quick, remember to buy them a size to tight. Dont worry, with the beard and sunglasses, no one will recognize you at all anyway.  Alan can get away with them, Be Alan!

Alan The Hangover Man Purse Costume Satchel

Alan: This is where I keep all my things. I get a lot of compliments in this, plus it’s not a man purse. It’s called a satchel, Indiana Jones wears one.

You need a satchel, if your going to wear those tightass White 501's there will be no place else to fit your stuff.

You can always repurpose your satchel when you decide to start your Rupaul Phase , I kid, i kid.

Alan The Hangover Costume Baby Carrier

Remember, there is a nifty shirt printed with Carlos and the carrier but if you really want to commit like the guy in the video above and get all the attention a baby brings without all the issues drinking heavily while carrying an infant could bring then grab a baby carrier.

They're comfortable, I have a 4 month old and I like carrying her in the Bjorn style bags, a doll will be cake and you can probably hide some beers in there too.

Alan The Hangover Carlos the Baby Prop

Buy a Carlos

Keep in mind the carrier and baby can be regifted, christmas is only a few months away, keep the box and treat them relatively nice, it will make a great stocking stuffer for some member of your family.

I have some "real" dolls, the kind that look like actual babies, but look around in your price range if your not committed at this level.

Thank You!
