Updated on February 25, 2017

Valentine's Day is a Day of Love

A Valentine's Day card is a special way to tell someone how you feel about them. Remember to share your own feelings. Don't let the card say it all.

Valentine's Day Night (In)

When you get ready to plan a romantic dinner at home: If you are cooking a dinner for your boyfriend, girlfriend, husband or wife, find out what their favorite food is. This is a great time for couples to spend together. Pick a theme for the dinner.

To me, fixing an Italian themed dinner is the most romantic dinner that you can fix. There are several other couples the like steak, baked potatoes, salad and bread. This is a very nice way to show that you care.

Lasagna or spaghetti and big crusty french bread can be baked to go with the meal. For dessert, heart shaped cookies and brownies, red velvet cake. Dinner by candlelight with your favorite someone is more fun to me than going out and waiting for hours at a busy restaurant. Red Velvet cake is a nice cake to make for dessert. The bright red cake and the bright white icing, makes this cake perfect for this lover's holiday.

To spice things up on Valentine's Day you could play adult games. Games with little gifts never hurt anyone either. A little teddy bear with a rose in it is a wonderful idea to give to a woman on Valentine's Day.

Another romantic idea is to get blankets and pillows and put them on the floor by the fireplace. Have the fireplace going and have your drink of choice in some fancy drinking glasses because, this is a special occasion. If you are male in this relationship, leave a bear holding a heart or other gift by the fireplace. You may even want to get a box of chocolates and a card. Most women are sentimental so, we love those cards. Write a personalized note inside the card to make your someone feel truly special.

It seems like more and more couples are choosing to stay at home on Valentine's Day. The crowds are worse at restaurants and the crowds have increased at the grocery stores, closer to Valentine's Day.

These are just some of the ideas that if done for me, special someone. I hope that you will feel free to share any Valentine's Day ideas you may have in the comments capsule located at the bottom of this article.
