Autumn's Colorful Canvas
Once more I gaze at distant skies,
to see the majesty of a far tree line,
Now I am granted yet another year,
the beautiful times it brings to mind.
Beyond clouds, sets an evening sun,
as another fine day has made its run,
It shows the world new hope has begun,
while it sets the stage for another one.
Reds and yellows all set upon the stage,
as eyes of wonder and voices all rage,
A beauty displayed before Winter's call,
a lovely picture portrayed in each Fall.
The fine memories we all have shared,
In another moment of our fondest years,
The grand times we have seen to pass,
through all the laughter and the tears.
While leafy streets endure a cooling wind,
flights of wild geese on journeys to begin.
A golden moon lights up the evening skies,
as a lonesome Loon, by the lakeside cries.
I wear my warm coat to prepare for it all,
for it's my favorite of times, in every Fall.
God's graces are shone in each new year,
granting the joys for us to see and to hear.
