Gifts - Pick The Right One
Make it special
I think we all struggle to give gifts during certain occasions. We have to take into consideration the economy and know that money is tight. Whether it’s for Christmas, Birthday, Baby Shower, Wedding and many other special occasions, we all wonder what the best gift is to give. Over the years, I collected the best gifts to give during these specials events. I feel we should all have a plan and know what is appropriate to purchase for these specials events. For any man, woman, child, friend, couple or family member, here are the top gifts for each category mentioned above. Because the basic gifts are important and sometimes the fun, no so basic gift is just as important but more entertaining, plus adds a little glitz to your gift.

Here is a quick snapshot to help people find gifts. I tried to keep costs to an afford amount when thinking of these gift ideas. Sometimes you can find the perfect gift and then others, you have to choose what you think is best. I love to give gifts and I love to be creative in my gift giving, however, sometimes that just doesn’t always work out. However, I feel giving personal gifts is the best method in choosing one. For example, I give my niece and nephews note cards every year for their Birthday’s, I get special note cards, like ones with their initials on the front or their favorite team note card. At first, they thought I was being silly but I encouraged them to write “thank you” notes for teachers, friends or family or just “thinking of you” cards to people they are worried or praying for, or just need a little “thinking of you” at that time. Now every year they expect these cards and actually look forward to them. It’s a small gift but wonderful to give others with personal notes handwritten inside.
Another idea is to keep it simple; sometimes just giving the basic gift is perfect. Every new mother will need a good dependable thermometer for their new child. Good ones are not cheap and all mothers know it’s a great gift.
All types of books are good. I give a lot of journals to my friends, for whatever purpose, keeping track of everyday “to-dos” or for a diary. Journals are good for both genders and all ages. I can’t say this enough; books are the best gift. I love to read, I love to research and I love to review, so books are the best for me. However, I would suggest that giving a book to anyone at any age is a wonderful gift to give. Plus, you can personalize this gift by writing a special message inside the front cover of the book.
Choosing the perfect gift is hard; however, you can find it. Be creative; yet, keep in mind the basic simple stuff is often used and very much needed. My mother in law buys me Yankee Candles every Christmas. I love candles and these are perfect gifts for anyone. I always buy my son’s teachers lip gloss for his birthday (yes, I give them a gift on his birthday) but now it’s a tradition and they all know so when he moves up in grade, the teacher is aware and looking forward to it (yep, I live in a small town).
Don’t make gift giving hard, make it special. I love to give and I go to little boutiques to find special, unique gifts but I always give the basics when it’s needed. Enjoy giving, that is what it’s about, give and expect nothing in return. The pleasure of gift giving is all you need. So be creative yet remember the basics.
