For the Dad Who Can Name More Craft Beers than States

There is something about being a guy and drinking a cold beer that seem to go hand in hand, literally. Nothing hits the spot like a nice refreshing craft beer after a long hard day at work.

One Christmas, I got my dad a kit to help him make his own beer, which I think he liked, but I know I didn't have a large budget, so the quality wasn't great. There are however a plethora of beer brewing kits on the market if this is something you think your father would appreciate.

Another Christmas, I was able to get my dad a Kegerator, the essential beer accessory for any man cave. Kegerators keep small kegs cool and provide taps so your dad can enjoy a nice beer on tap from the comfort of his own home!

My dad is a kid at heart and loves technology. He was overjoyed when I got him a GoPro for his birthday and uses it all the time.

For the Dad Who Needs to Just Sit Back and Relax

I don't know about your father, but almost every father I have met cannot get through a trip to the mall without stopping in Brookstone to try out the massage chairs. There is something about a man's chair that makes the end of the day either relaxing, or well, not.

I grew up knowing that as long as my father wasn't home, that giant recliner in front of the television was all mine; but once my dad got home, I knew I had to be out of the seat and quick! My dad's recliner was his oasis after a long day at work, and I have encountered many dads just like him.

For the dad who needs a new oasis, I present the Flash Furniture Plush Leather Recliner, with extra wide design, this chair is sure to make any dad feel like king of the household. Available in black, brown, and beige, you can find the perfect chair to match your dad's mancave!

Very interesting hub about great ideas of gifting and pleasing your father and show your affections toward him. I never had the opportunity as my mother and father expired during my school and college days.

You've presented some creative gift ideas here, Kathleen. My dad lives in the lower part of the state, so I don't see him - or the rest of my family - very often. My birth father lives in California. I've only seen him twice since we reunited, but stay in touch all the time.

My folks don't like me to spend money on gifts. It seems when I do, I find a check in the mail for what they think I paid plus a little extra. So, I've quit sending gifts, but I always send a card and follow up with a phone call. Oh, wait. I did send my dad a gift two years ago for his birthday. It was a poem I wrote especially for him. That he accepted with pride!
