Kitty's favorite holiday is Halloween. She's been making her own costumes and studying Halloween as a holiday for over a decade.

Bloody Inspired

Not sure what costume to wear for Halloween this year? Try putting together your own True Blood Halloween costume. There are so many characters to choose from, all of which would make for an interesting and unique Halloween costume for a guy or girl. Whether your flavor is vampire, werewolf, fairy, or shape-shifter, True Blood has a little somethin' for everyone.

True Blood Halloween costumes can be as inexpensive and as simple as you make them. A sookie Halloween costume can cost as little as 20 bucks. Bill and Eric Halloween costumes could cost the exact same. Continue reading to acquire some bloody inspiring tips on how to put together your own True Blood Halloween costume.

Bill & Eric True Blood Costume Ideas

A whole cornucopia of male characters from True Blood await your costuming creativity. If you want to go for a simple and classic look, attempt to create your own Bill or Eric Halloween costume. It's simple, all you'll need is:

  • a set of fangs (these can be as cheap or as realistic as you'd like)
  • a sexy suit or jeans and a t-shirt (depending on whether you want to be casual or more dressed up)
  • some hair gel
  • a little fake blood

That's pretty much all you'll need to create your own Bill or Eric costume this year. You can spend as much or as little as you'd like on this costume. My suggestion is to use something from your closet for the base of the costume, and then purchase a quality set of fangs online or at your nearest Halloween supply store (Spirit, Target, etc). Scarecrow makes the best and most realistic fangs on the market today.

You can purchase an authentic True Blood t-shirt online at HBO.com or find one on Amazon for cheap, as well. Or make your own Eric t-shirt by printing out a Fangtasia graphic and having it ironed onto a simple black t-shirt.

And as for the fake blood, drip a little down the side of your chin to make it look as if you just had a tasty meal.

Alcide or Sam True Blood Halloween Costumes

If the vampire look isn't your thing or perhaps you did that last Halloween, maybe you'd like to aim for a werewolf costume this year? Good choice. Alcide is almost every girl's favorite, so you can't go wrong with that one. This is what you'll need for an Alcide True Blood Halloween costume:

  • a long-sleeved flannel button-down shirt and a t-shirt
  • a pair of worn jeans
  • a pair of black work boots
  • a werewolf mask or werewolf make-up
  • werewolf hands/claws

I suggest skipping the werewolf mask, but if you want to be more of an animal this Halloween, go for it! Alcide looks much sexier in human form, just sayin' boys. You can always opt out of the werewolf mask and go with some claws or fake werewolf paws for an added werewolf effect.

How about shape-shifting for Halloween? Well, I don't know how easy that will be but at least you can dress like a shape-shifter, right? Check out these tips for an awesome Sam Merlotte True Blood Halloween costume:

  • Merlotte's t-shirt
  • tight Levi's jeans
  • belt with big belt buckle
  • cowboy boots

It would be a little difficult to dress as a Hawk or Horse, so stick with Sam in his human bar-tending form. It will make for a unique and comfortable costume, anyway. Don't forget the belt buckle!

For the Girls - Sookie, Jessica, Pam

For the ladies, there is a whole myriad of sexy hot True Blood Halloween costumes to choose from. There's Sookie the sexy psychic fairy, Tara her rebellious best friend, Pam the powerful vamp, Jessica the even sexier red-headed vamp, and more! Try putting together one of the following True Blood Halloween costumes this year and watch the men flock to you:

For a Sookie costume, try one or all of the following:

  • a Merlotte's baby tee like the one Sookie wears to work
  • a pair of black cheerleading/athletic shorts (cheap from Walmart, Target, etc.)
  • a green waist apron
  • bite marks and fake blood dripping down your neck
  • as an alternative to the Merlotte's look, wear a cute yet sexy sundress and curl your hair
  • for more ideas on a Sookie Halloween costume, check the links below.

For a Jessica costume, follow the same Merlotte's waitress look as mentioned for Sookie but add a set of custom vampire fangs.

For a Pam True Blood Halloween costume, a pair of fangs are needed for sure. You'll also want a power suit or a fully gothic look similar to something Pam would wear while working at Fangtasia. Here are some other Pam ideas:

  • fishnet shirt over a black tank top with a black leather skirt
  • pink or fuschia juicy couture tracksuit
  • pink Chanel-style skirt-suit
  • boots or high pumps
  • custom vampire fangs
