Heart Shapes Fashion DIY Craft Tutorials

Valentines Day is fast approaching so I put these Fashion and Beauty DIY's together in one simple article, so you can customise yourself the perfect outfit for the most romantic day of the year. All these DIY's are based around heart shaped items that will add the perfect romantic touched to your date night outfit.

These are all very simple and cheap to re create yourself from home, with some basic craft essentials. Whether you want a simple nail heart manicure DIY or a glitter heart sweater DIY you'll find a great selection of heart based craft ideas here.

These aren't just great for Valentines Day they will be cute to wear all year round. Heart felted elbow patches work great on any jumper, and heart knee patches will be just as cute or adults as it will on children's tights, so don't limit these heart crafts to the big girls!

Most of all have fun and I hope you enjoy your Valentines Day.

Glitter Heart Shoes

All girls love their shoes, so why wouldn't they want a unique pair of adorable Valentines Inspired ones! I found this great little fashion DIY over on A Matter of Style. It's pretty simple and cheap too, you just need the shoes, glitter and glue, the rest is down to your creativity. And wouldn't they make the perfect accessory to finish off the most beautiful Valentines Day outfit! The little glitter hearts on the back of the shoes can be added to any type of shoe, to give them just the right amount of bling and just the right touch of cuteness!

Glitter Heart Jumper

Taylor Swift once wore a glitter heart sweater just like the great DIY I found on Tulle & Trinkets Blog. It is such a simple idea again - sweater, glitter and glue! But it really does make a statement. The red glitter heart is beautiful and bold and really will make a statement. Great for a quite Valentines Day in or a romantic trip to the cinema - or just wear it all year round like Taylor Swift did! It is definitely girly and feminine to keep you looking sweet! Plus the simple DIY means it is no doubt a fraction of the cost of the designer version Taylor Swift was wearing - and that's always good in my books! Try it on other coloured tops to suit your style, try different coloured glitters if you would rather, and once you have the hang of it why not try some different shapes and patters too. A multicoloured rainbow would look adorable on a little girl maybe?

Crackle Heart Nail Art DIY

Crackle Heart Nail Art

Nail art has become a hugely popular thing in the past few years, so why wouldn't you have a heart themed manicure for Valentines Day. This is a really simple and sweet nail art tutorial from Kiss My Acetone. I love the crackle glazed hearts as they are quite subtle but very edgy. Far nicer than simple bold hearts painted on the nails. Plus it is another really easy nail DIY once you know how she achieved it. Nail varnish, crackle glaze, masking tape and a scissors! Simple! Again the possibilities are endless on the colour combo and even the shape, if your feeling brave enough to try cutting out different shapes! Why pay a beautician when you can recreate this look for home so simply.

Heart Knee Tights DIY

DIY Heart Knee Tights

I think this heart themed DIY from Bride Blu is one of the sweetest I have found. Simple plain black tights with cute heart shaped knee patches is adorable! And it is so simple to do! These would be perfect for little girls to wear to school or their next party, they are just sweet and pretty unique. No one else will be wearing DIY Heart Knee Tights now will they! All the other little girls will be wanting you to make them a pair too. Plus they will look just as sweet on big girls too, I would happily wear a pair myself. Why go pay a fortune for a designer pair when you can just make your own, and if you ladder them, you can just make yourself another pair! Simple! Just think of them paired with a sweet little tea dress, or mini skirt and a blouse.

Who knew how many things you could do with Cookie Cutters!

DIY Heart Elbow Patches

I adored the elbow patch trend when it came back in last year. It is the perfect hint of vintage style and an almost androgynous trend, which heralds from leather elbowed hunting jackets, and suede patched jumpers. Plus it is super cute when you put a heart shaped twist on it. If found this brilliant DIY over on Honestly...WTF and she makes it look so simple and easy. It may be a little time consuming but it is totally worth it in the end! I will be trying this with some black wool on my red cardigan I think. You can swap up the colour combo as much as you like, and even try some other shapes as she simply uses a cookie cutter to get the shape right! Genius!

Heart Shaped DIY Hair Braid

Sadly I am totally useless at doing anything with my hair, but if your hair savvy and fancy a bit of a cute Valentines Day inspired hair tutorial, why not try to recreate this sweet Heart Shaped Hair Braid I found on My Beauty Bunny. This would also be totally adorable on any little girl for Valentines Day in school! It's simple and not too showy, but still really different and shows you spent some time on getting the perfect romantic look. I'm sure an experienced hair dresser would manage this no problem, but this great heart shaped braid hair tutorial makes it easy for anyone to get this romantic look. So why not have a go and see what you can create. Its the perfect thing to top off that perfect valentines day outfit!
