Valentine's Day Poll - Vote Today!
Love is in the Air
With Valentine's Day fast approaching (February 14th), I thought it would be a great opportunity for the HubPages community to choose your favourite movies, songs, books and TV shows with 'Love' in the title.
There are a large number of possible selections for each category, so I have narrowed it down to my top five in each category. Make your choice from each group but if you have another suggestion, leave a comment and see how much support it gets from the community.
I'll leave the poll open until February 15th, so check back to see the winners!
Which is your favourite Movie with 'Love' in the title?
The Magic of the Movies
Lots to choose from but here are your five choices:
- The Love Bug (1968): A Walt Disney comedy starring a Volkswagen racing Beetle called 'Herbie'.
- Love Story (1970): The classic love story starring Ali MacGraw and Ryan O'Neal.
- Love Actually (2003): Hilarious comedy following the lives of eight different couples during a month before Christmas. Set primarily in London, England, it features an all-star cast including Hugh Grant, Colin Firth, Emma Thompson, Alan Rickman, Liam Neeson, Kiera Knightley and more.
- Love Potion #9 (1992): A relatively little known comedy starring Sandra Bullock in one of her earliest roles.
- From Russia With Love (1963): Action adventure with Sean Connery as James Bond, 007.
All You Need Is Love
Which is your favourite song with 'Love' in the title?
John Lennon and Paul McCartney of The Beatles penned perhaps the greatest love song of all time.
Love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love, love.
There's nothing you can do that can't be done.
Nothing you can sing that can't be sung.
Nothing you can say but you can learn how to play the game
Your choice, but I think you can see which way I'm leaning!

Which is your favourite book with 'Love' in the title?
The Love of Reading
One of my personal favourite books of all time is The History of Love by Nicole Krauss.
It is a hauntingly beautiful novel that is a pleasure to read from beginning to end.
The story bears a striking resemblance to 'Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close' by Jonathan Safran Foer, who just happens to be married to Krauss.
Coincidence? I think not, but I love both books anyway.
P.S. I Love You is now better known for the movie of the same name starring Gerard Butler, Hilary Swank, Lisa Kudrow and Harry Connick Junior.
Similarly, Eat Pray, Love has also been made into a movie starring Julia Roberts and Javier Bardem who also stars in the big screen version of Love in the Time of Cholera.
So, if you haven't read the books, vote based on which movie you liked best!
Top 10 Rated TV Shows with 'Love' in the title in the last 25 Years
Which is your favourite TV show with 'Love' in the title?
Everybody Loves TV
It's odd that there doesn't seem to be many current TV shows with 'Love' in the title.
A quick search shows some short lived contenders in recent years such as True Love and Mad Love.
Perhaps the best of these was Love Bites but still not good enough to get into my top 5 list for the poll.
So this category might be a little tough for the younger crowd who probably only know 'Everybody Loves Raymond'.
But I'm sure some of you must remember Chuck Woolery in the 'Love Connection' - one of the first reality dating shows and forerunner to The Bachelor.
And who can forget Jay Thomas and friends in 'Love and War', Gavin MacLeod in 'The Love Boat' and Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz in 'I Love Lucy'.
