Vintage Christmas Cupcakes

Tis' the season for Vintage!

What you'll need to make these beautiful Vintage Christmas Cupcakes:

  • One Angel Food or Vanilla Cake Mix (to make 24 cupcakes)
  • One can of Vanilla or Cream Cheese Frosting (not Creamy)
  • Small bottle of red sugar crystals (Please note I ordered red sugar crystals from
  • Cupcake liners (red, green or aluminum foil)
  • Two cupcake baking pans (12 cupcakes per pan)
  • 24 Vintage Christmas Bell Ornaments (Please note: I ordered these Vintage Bell Ornaments from If these Christmas bells are no longer available, there is a selection of other Vintage-like cupcake toppers on this website).

Preheat oven according to instructions on cake mix box. Follow instructions on cake mix box to mix batter. Place cupcake liners in cupcake baking pans. Pour batter into each cupcake liner in pan. Place cupcakes in oven and bake according to instructions on cake mix box. Remove from oven, let cool for at least 30 minutes. Remove cupcakes from pan. Frost cupcakes generously with vanilla or cream cheese frosting. Sprinkle each cupcake with red sugar crystals. Place a Vintage Christmas Bell in the center of each cupcake by slightly pressing down on it so that half of the bell is in the cupcake and half of the bell is raised. Put cupcakes in refrigerator for at least one hour to set.

These Vintage Christmas cupcakes were a big hit on Christmas Eve with my family and friends. Everyone made a fuss over them. They looked beautiful on my dessert table and a lot of my relatives said these cupcakes looked too pretty to eat!  I like sharing my love for Vintage Christmas decorations with my family and friends.... everyone gets to go home with an ornament!
