Your Holiday Decorating List

The Holiday Season is approaching and you will want to get ready.

What decorations will you need and when are you going to put them up?

There are quite a few different themes you can create over Christmas and the best thing to do is to decide in advance what decorations you will need.

You can use your usually ones and take them down from the cupboard or you can create a new theme.

Try a silver Gothic theme or a traditional Santa Claus theme. Or use reds and greens with lots of flowers. Or if you have kids you can use some Disney decorations or make it more colorful with more lights and Christmas themed banners or inflatable products.

You also have to think of how your table will look over Christmas and what tablecloth you are going to use, which crackers, glasses and cutlery.

It's a good idea to make a list of all the things you will need and what you have already and what you need to buy.

Arts and Crafts For Christmas

You may want to make your own Christmas cards, ornaments and other Christmas themed items. It does not have to be difficult. In fact, you can make small tree hanging ornaments from recycled objects you find around the house. And you can print a lot of pictures from the internet to make your own Christmas cards or you can hand make them yourself.

You can also make paper chains and hanging snowflakes quite easily.

There are so many Christmas arts and crafts you can do that you will find something that you can make.

Your Christmas Lights Are Very Important

Christmas Lights are one of the most important part of Christmas Decorations. You can have indoor and outdoor lights.

Indoor lights can be placed around windows, fireplaces, mantlepieces and on the tree.

Outdoor lights can be placed around the outside of the house walls on over the front and back of the roof. You can also have lights around your garden and themed Christmas Snowmen, Sleighs and Christmas Tree Lights.

Also if you have an outdoor tree then you can decorate it with lights as well.

What You Need To Decorate Your Table

For your table decorations you will need a nice center flower arrangement. And you will need Christmas themed napkins and crackers.

You can use your own dinner cutlery and plate sets or you can buy Christmas themed ones.

The tablecloth could be in red or green with tinsel wrapped around the edges.

And you can add to the theme by using Christmas themed place mats.

What About Your Christmas Cards?

An essential part of Christmas decorations is Christmas Cards. Where will you display them? And how?

You can get some nice Christmas card holders either handmade holders (paper or cloth), string style holders, or wooden box card holders.

You could also just simply put your cards up around the house which people can see either on the mantle place or on shelves.
