Whose Birthday Is It?

Updated on March 6, 2015

Let's pretend it is your birthday. All of your friends and family start saying that it wouldn't be right to call it your birthday. All your family and friends go elsewhere to celebrate and leave you at home; they give each other gifts and buy each other drinks. Yea, you have one or two friends who give you a call, but they are too busy to come over.

Would it hurt?

Would you be angry?

Would you cry?

Would you forgive them and still love them?

He does!

Yes He still loves us.

December 25th is the celebrated birthday of Jesus Christ. God who became man to die for our sins and we treat the day as it's our own birthday.

I want to cry when I see people going nuts in stores trying to get presents for family and friends.People fighting over gifts. People tripping and hurting others on Black Friday.

What gifts have they considered for Jesus? He gave us the greatest gift of all; an opportunity for eternal life. He just wants us to know Him; to feel Him; to love Him.

As you are maxing out your Mastercard or Visa, have you considered whose birthday it really is?

Have you sung Silent Night realizing what the words are really saying? How about O' Little Town of Bethlehem?

Don't get me wrong. If you are giving to children with a pure heart, I really doubt Jesus would be upset. Are you teaching those children the meaning of Christmas?

Did you tithe?

God also needs your first-fruits before you worry about all those gifts.

When your shopping and the cashier says Happy Holidays, remind them whose birthday it is and say a hearty Merry Christmas.

Jesus died for your sins and for my sins. He rose from the grave signifying that we too, can rise from the grave. Let's celebrate His day with respect for Him.

Jesus My Lord and Savior

Jesus My Friend

Happy Birthday Messiah

From My Heart I Do Send!

To all, Have a very Merry Christmas. Remember Jesus is the reason!

Thanks for the reminder of the Reason for the Season. It is easy to get caught up and forget. Blessings to you! Voted...well, useful!

There are issues with the real date, but what really matters is that God gave us Jesus to demonstrate His love for us. Someday has to be; since so many years celebrating it this time ...why keep with the issues?

The reflexion ought to be... Is He born in our hearts?

I love this Hub! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
