Young Lady Celebrating Birthday

Updated on June 3, 2016

Sitting here at work watching a young high school kid celebrating her birthday, I believe it's her sweet sixteenth.....
And, as the folks dance, some of them line dance and grub on food and dessert, this got me to thinking about my own 16th birthday party which was very uneventful as was the 21st...I'm about to hit 54 in July, and this got me to thinking about my fellow hub folks.

Did any of you do anything fun on your 16th or 21st...Do you remember it? Was it fairly recent or was it back in the Ice AGES!! SMILE!!!!

Let's share our memories and reflect on days long gone....Who knows maybe there is a memory you want to refresh in your mind, or maybe their is some traumatic experience that you need to talk about during these years....

I think this young lady will have pleasant memories of her teen party, and who knows what life will be bringing here in the future....So early in the story and probably still a lot of chapters to be written...Let's reflect on our own pasts and high school memories...Maybe you have a sweet 16 party, prom, or graduation that you want to reminiscence on......

My 16th birthday was rather ordinary - we celebrated it in a park. My 50th was more special - I went ziplining for the first time. It was great! I plan on celebrating my 60th by going skydiving.

LOL....Yes, as a matter of fact, my 16th. was so very long ago, it may have been the ice age!!

Shocked as I am to remember it, it's due to the fact that friends of mine had planned a surprise celebration for me and I was really touched by their thoughtfulness. I remember it as a great time with my classmates~~OMG! Some of whom I'll be seeing this summer at our 50th. HS reunion!! Wow. I'm old....LOL Peace, Paula

I do not remember my 16th birthday, I do remember my 21st, I was on my way to work and I stopped at a viaduct, it was flooded and I did not want to get drowned out so I stopped and the many behind me did not.

I do not remember any other birthday.
