A League of Their Own Costume
A League of Their Own Costume for Halloween
A Rockford Peach costume from "A League of Their Own" would make a great costume for Halloween (or a costume party during any time of the year!). An A League of Their Own Costume represents everything these gals stood for during the war: brave and strong, yet still incredibly feminine.
This would be a great costume for a girl or a woman, or great if there's a bunch of girls going out for Halloween as a group. I wish these were available back when I used to play softball; we all went trick-or-treating and it would've been a fantastic costume that really spoke to our interests!
Rockford Peaches Costume
I love this A League of Their Own costume -- everything about it looks just like it does in the movie! Customers do report that it's slightly more pink than you might recall, but it adds to the cuteness.
You can get this in either the Standard or Deluxe version. I highly recommend going with the Deluxe A League of Their Own Costume, because not only do you get the baseball dress, but you get the hat and belt, too.
All you need to add are the red socks and you have yourself a complete costume!
Red Stocks for your A League of Their Own Costume - The socks help to make the outfit.
A red knee sock add the finishing touch to your costume--make sure to get a pair that's an actual knit. You don't want them to be pantyhose material!
A League of Their Own Is a Favorite of Mine
It was such a great movie!
A League of Their Own used to be one of my very favorite movies, so it's no surprise I love the costume. I loved the fact that women were able to play a sport that was owned by men, and they were able to surprise fans during wartime. I was an avid softball player back in the day, and I always thought how much fun it would be to be able to play ball professionally.
We laughed with them (I forget the character's name, but Rosie O'Donnell's character was a funny one) and we cried with them, too (poor Betty Spaghetti); I think I might have to watch this movie again this weekend!
Own the movie
Own the movie for yourself: it's sure to become a favorite if it isn't already. Have a daughter? It teaches some great lessons, as well!
