I don't make Christmas about the gifts or the commercial/ shopping stuff. I bring the kids (my nieces and nephews) stuff I have bought at the Dollar Store some years. It's not about how much I spent, where I bought it or how big the package is. This year I've got candy canes and bath scrub brushes and that's what they are getting. What they value is the time I will spend with them: colouring, talking, making a snack, etc. We might walk to the coffee shop at the top of the street and I buy them a hot chocolate. That's something they love to do too and it costs me less than $5.00.
