What's your most favorite time of the year and why?

It doesn't have to be a large amount of time or season.  It can even be a single day.  Mine is cliche, Christmas time...but early when people are just putting up the lights.

Spring---Open water fishing is my favorite passtime. The first day of spring is the most "looked foward to" day of the year. Thats because it's my birthday, not because its spring. hahahaha

Spring. Light, happy, my birthday, preparation for the assumption that I will take summer off from school (which I haven't in 2 years, but it's a nice reverie). I love the bright happy emotions that come with the warming of the area. The beautiful colors of the changing world. The heat. The skimpy clothes. The beach smells from candles, not actually beaches (evil sand gets everywhere).

I love the spring and summer but my favorite is the fall. The tourists are gone....the heat is gone....and life begins to slow down a little again.

Summer, because I can't stand being cold.  Spring is unreliable, still get chilly damp weather, and Fall is starting to turn chilly.

Autumn is my favourite season with its colors, the brisk purity of the air, the way waves crash, the way ripples form in streams, the way the wind rustles through the shimmering leaves.

I love the spring when the flowers begin to sprout. I know  summer  will be arriving soon...

That's a hard question because, depending where you are, the celestial seasons are often differant. In fact, I love them all, but especialy the good old summertime, when the surf is up and the sun is high in the sky.

I love the Spring because everything is renewed; the crocuses come up, the daffodils (my favourite flower) push through and bud, the magnolia flowers.  It's all optimistic and makes me feel full of life.  It also includes my birthday so maybe that's why I'm in tune with it.  Having said that, Autumn colours are beautiful, especially when you're in the New Forest but they can be sad because they herald the cold and bleak!  Spring is definitely the time to start new projects and adventures.
