That's a pretty cool arrangement. I am a traditionalist, and I really like to have poinsettias. Mostly, I like the dark red or burgundy varieties the best. A few years ago, I read an article about using poinsettias as a cut flower, which I think is a great idea too. I learned that they were once very popular as a cut flower. I don't think many florists sell them like that. And, poinsettias produce a very sticky sap when they're cut, I think there's a trick you can use with a candle to prevent the sap from flowing too much after you cut them.
