When do you start Christmas lights and decorations?

I use to always wait until December 2 because my mother's birthday was on the first, but this year I think I will get a really early start, like November since everything has been so depressing with this election stuff. How about you?

Like a ritual? That does sound good and a real special occasion I am sure.

I like them up a month but the day after Christmas I am ready for it to all go. Strange how something so special can get depressing isn't it?

Oh, I know and I am really thrilled to see Christmas trees up in stores, I know, it use to be shocking and I know their true purpose for doing it but maybe we should be like the children and just be thrilled with the beauty!

I just do little things but I love a lot of lights, they are so cheerful aren't they? I like to get a few in my bedroom too of just anything. A string of lights balled up with a string of garland curled on top can look really good twinkling.

Strange it is after Christmas that it bothers me. I love it up until then but then I want everything put up before New Years.

Yes Christmas is Christ to me, I even wrote about it. I had a sister-in-law that did leave her tree up all year round, but I believe that was laziness on her part. I see people now using the Christmas tree to put Easter eggs on and 4th of July flags.
