I do an unusual cranberry dish that we all love much more than the traditional cranberry sauce. We soak our cranberries in wine and sugar for several hours, then simmer in a crockpot until all the berries burst. When you simmer them, you add orange slices and your favorite spices (nutmeg, clove etc) and let it simmer until dinner time. You can also chill this and then spoon it over a crust made of gingerbread and top with whipped cream. What's your unusual twist to a traditional dish?
