What are your favorite Christmas crafts?

Christmas crafts include handmade cards, wreaths, toys, ribbons, balls, gift-wrappers and many more to name.

I like making cards, but am starting to shift gears on making polymer clay ornaments. But with me stranded by an ailing loved one, I might hold it off for another year.

Thank you for the nice reply. Making cards and polymer clay ornaments are indeed wonderful creative activities. Very sorry that you have to wait for next year and hope your loved one is much better now. Take care

Actually, she's terminally ill. That means that when she comes home to her creator, I might do it months after that.

My father was absolutely in love with Christmas. As a young child, he would set out several boxes of items and sit with us children to create several new Christmas tree ornaments every year. I can remember how excited I was each year in anticipation of the opportunity to make new ornaments. Some of those handmade ornaments are still around to this day even though my father is not. I found it rather ironic that he actually passed on Christmas Day about 15 years back. I have had a long and successful career as a professional artist - I credit my Dad and his love for creativity for a lot of the success I've had in my career over the years.

One Christmas I had no ornaments and the decorations were made from nature and construction paper.  Everyone who came in loved the tree and complimented the ornaments.  I think decorating the tree with homemade ornaments is what I like best.

I like making my own advent calendar. It's a big job, but very rewarding every day in December.

Decorative lighting designs such as layers of small lights to make the shape of a star,  reindeer and sleigh and cross of Jesus . . .these are my all-time favorites. And good question by the way.

For me it has to be homemade ornaments.  We put them up every year and remember fondly when they were made.  There are some that are more than 40 years old and we still put them up.

My favorite Christmas craft is the Nativity. It is so self actualizing to have and create one. I usually get my supplies at http://corkboardsheets.com for cork board needs.

Personalized Christmas cards top my list! The next one would probably be the gift-wrapping. ^_^
