   If you don't celebrate Christmas as a religious holiday, how do you usually spend December 25th?
   
   Do you celebrate the day as a secular holiday? Is December 25th just another day of the week for you?

   Even though my family does not celebrate Christmas, my husband always gets a week off work, so we just enjoy spending time together and avoid going into any stores if at all possible!  The Holy Days that I celebrate are in the fall and in the spring, so I like to get out with the kids and enjoy the snow in the winter.

   I am an atheist, but most of the people I know are not. To me, it's a great day to spend with family and friends and, yes, I do give gifts. Though the "reason for the season" does not apply to me, I still love to have fun with it.

   We go to church on the 24th and we celebrate Christmas day with our kids and their spouses.  We exchange gifts...but we write a little poem with each gift.  The poem can be funny or not. 
   My husband is from the Netherlands where he celebrated Sinterklaas (Saint Nicholas) with gifts and poems and I am from Belgium where I celebrated Christmas and no poems.  So when we moved to Canada, we decided to combine the two with Christmas.  We wanted our kids to have some heritage from our origins.  On top of it, it gives more meaning to your gift.

   we celebrate it as a day of family time. we open gifts, play and laugh and eat like crazy. it has never had a religious meaning to me thankfully but since it is a holiday, i make the most of it.

   Jesus is my reason for Christmas.. I am so bless to know Jesus as my savor.. this holiday is wonderful my favorite time of year. I love giving gifts and trying to help people.

   I usually have a holiday on Christmas (if there is no emergency call from Office). I take a sleep till I feel I need to leave bed, have a brunch, have a walk (which I usually don't) and a good meal at afternoon and night. That is all.

   We have a Christmas tree and gifts, stockings and traditions. We make ornaments, have dinner. I'm not an atheist, nor am I particularly religious. Now that my kids are grown and I have grandkids Christmas often involves me traveling or having other family members travel so we can be together.
