Our New Year Meal has always been..Chinese ( home made )...and we are not of Asian background..
egg/spring rolls, hot&sour soup,
pepper steak, white rice with soy sauce,low mein noodles,and lots of Chinese vegetables...also everyone must eat with chop sticks..no forks..we drink a rice/cinnamon drink and green tea. This has been a family custom since I was a child..and now we share it with the Grandchildren...the food does not bloat and cleanses the bodies digestive system, starting the New Year off on the right foot..
