It is an awesome cake made with fruit and nuts and needs to be made in advance of Christmas to marinate itself. It can be made light or dark. The best ones, I think are marianted with rum. My Great Aunt Marion used to make the best one I ever ate and we always looked forward to a piece of her Christmas cake every year. So moist, delicious and you could taste the rum.
