That's a tough one since there are so many great things about this holiday.  I suppose my favorite thing would be seeing my kids have so much fun with all the costumes and Halloween activities.  They just have a blast and it makes for great memories.

Kids definitely make Halloween 100% more fun!  I've always loved Halloween but I love it even more as a mom!!

My birthday is October 2nd, and my dearest friend's is on October 31st. We were born in the same year, so for 29 days every year, my age is one year higher than hers. Every year, on my birthday, she calls me an old lady---and every year, on Halloween, I get to give her grief about being the same. That's my favorite thing about Halloween: that Wendy and I are the same age again.

My favorite thing about Halloween is that it's in the fall/autumn season! I love the Fall and Halloween is ultimate celebration of Fall (and spooky things). I love horror movies, but I watch them all year around. I don't eat candy as much but I do each chocolate (all year around). I don't dress up in costumes (never did as a kid, but would love to do it more now!). Halloween is unique but isn't a special time for it. Its unique because its pretty much the only time where binging on horror movies and dressing up in costumes is acceptable!
I feel Halloween/Fall is such an intimate time, Halloween is intimate to me, people gather together, be cozy at home, and eat rich comfort foods (apples, pumpkins, etc. Its beautiful, the air feels richer, and the fall foliage is breath-taking. For me its make me appreciate life (especially watching movies where people are killed off so cruelly, mercilessly, and inhumanely). It fits me so great!!!

@danicole ooo yes! I love everything you said about Halloween being in fall and it being a cozy and family fun time. I like *some* horror movies but can't handle many of them.

There are many I do love... the old timey ones like The Fly, The Birds..., most thrillers, and Halloween.  I can't handle gore or anything demonic.  Though I did see all of the Paranormal Activity movies.  As I get older, I am able to handle fewer..

I do like The Birds. I have to say a lot of thrillers annoy me/have disappointing endings, gore (impartial, I find too much of it cheap and useless!!), demonic (predictable). I am curious! Why can't you handle gore/ demonic things that much anymore?
