Shall we boycott Valentine's Day?

Should romance really be confined to one day in the year! Surely we don't need to be reminded by commerce each year to buy a rose, or a card for our partner? I think a weed plucked from the verge and presented when I am least expecting it is a far more romantic notion, what say you?

A great response in favor of Valentine's Day, spreading the love - good for you, especially said the way you said it.

Perfectly said, I could not have said it better except to say that Valentine's day precludes many people who are not in a relationship, making them feel inadequate and under unnecessary pressure, quite sad really.

Agreed except to say that I received a very pretty bunch of yellow tulips this morning, where even a single daisy would have been just as gratefully receive on any day of the week.

Now we can look forward to Mother's day!.
