How fitting, considering that the celebration for the birth of baby Jesus has turned into a real racket. (Take that anyway you like.) Since our family has dwindled down to three people for Christmas dinner, only two if my brother goes out of state to his daughter's house for Christmas) we don't bother with home decoration anymore. I wish we would stop with the gift buying. Nobody appreciates hand-made gifts anymore, and I'm not sure our worshipping at the alter of Mammon for Christmas is appreciated anyway. I'd rather settle for good food and fellowship with whom we have left.
