April Fools' Day Cards

Updated on January 18, 2015

Here are some funny cards...

The first day of the fourth month is also known as April Fools' Day. And what do we do on this? We are having good time, a joke or two, maybe a prank and a good laugh. And when it is? Next year, in 2014, is going to be on Tuesday.

On this page you can find out where to find more funny cards.

It's funny joke...

This funny card is very much in tune with the tradition of April Fool's in Great Britain, where the victim of the prank is often mislead to looks for something non existent - just like for the answer on this question.

Did you know...

Before 16th century most of the Europe celebrated New Year on April 1st.

When Pope Gregory introduced new calendar many people refused to change their habits and still celebrated it as before.

It is a popular belief this is the reason for April Fool's phrase - it was mocking everybody who didn't want to adapt.

April Fools' Day cards are great way to make you and your friends laugh. Here you can find just few cards, but there are a lot more at Amazon and at Zazzle. Check them out, I believe you'll find the one you'll like and it will make your day more cheerful.

There are really a lot of jokes and pranks you can tell or you can play on your friends. But there is also another maybe more gentle way of having fun - greeting cards.

There are a lot of cards available with all kinds of funny tricks, sayings, funny quotes and jokes. You can send electronic card (a lot of free cards are available at 123greetings) or funny greeting cards. And after your friends get a card you can continue with telling funny stories or practical jokes. For instance there are cards with joke and image, don't forget cards with images of practical jokes, with people that have been fooled...

It's really a great selection. And of course there are free printable cards and coloring pages for kids we can find around the web too.

Some of them are cute, some of them are scary, but all of them must be funny. And don't you forget to have a lot of fun.

Some of the best pranks ever...

April Fool's Day is perfect for some great jokes done through media.

  • In 1957 BBC introduced documentary showing spaghetti trees. Hundreds of viewers called or wrote letters to find out if they can grow their own spaghetti trees at home. BBC replied the should put some pasta in a tin with tomato sauce and patiently wait!
  • In 1977 The Guardian published pretty detailed tourist guide (seven pages with photos and maps) to island called Sans Serriffe. The non existent island in the Indian Ocean aroused a lot of interest among the readers who tried to book holiday packages in all the major tourist offices.
  • 2013 Twitter announced they will improve their service with simple procedure - they will stop using vowels. On this occasion they changed their brand name into Twttr. On the same year Google announced their YouTube Service which was actually made only for competition has enough material to choose the best video and can close now.

Now it's your turn...

Do you celebrate April Fools' Day?
