Balloons and balloon decorations are so simple but so effective and making a party into a real party atmosphere. The important thing to remember is to get the right kind of balloons for the event ot special occassion that you are preparing for. You might want lots of different brightly colored balloons for a kids party, but you probably want a lot less balloons for something like a wedding or a christening. So make sure the balloons you choose match the special occassion.

Mixing Up Your Balloons

There are so many ways you can vary what you make with your balloons. Wether you are making flowers or animals using balloons, or just using them to decorate walls and columns. Use balloons of different sizes and colors, use long skinny balloons, use short fat balloons. Combine things to come up with all sorts if interesting objects and ideas.

Use your imagination and you will be able to come up with wonderful shapes and patterns using balloons. But the one thing you will need to have a lot of if you are doing any of this is a lot of balloons so be sure that you buy plenty and work out just how many you are going to need as the worst thing is to run out of balloons before you finish.

Duplets are two balloons that are inflated and tied together. You usually use duplets to form many of the other balloon structures such as arches, columns and more, by adding more and more duplets together.

Most of the structures will be put together using duplets or quads which are two duplets tied together. By combining different colors in your duplets and quads you can come up with all sorts of different effects to give a visually stunning look with your balloons.

      I always liked balloon animals as a child, but arches and the decorations shown here take things to a more advanced level.
