In this sequel to Bats at the Beach, the bat colony heads out for an evening trip to the local library! After discovering a window left open, the bats get to explore the many shelves and activities the library has to offer. Older bats check out "guides to fancy foods" (insect books) and form literary discussion groups. Younger bats explore the photo copier, splash around in the fountain, type on the computer, and play make-believe with a pop-up book. And then it's storytime for all!

The third adventure for the bats featured in Bats at the Beach and Bats at the Library, this time the bat colony participates in a national pastime: Baseball! When the sun goes down, the bats head out to a local baseball diamond to play their own midnight game. With moth dogs and cricket jack, there's no looking back. Cheer on your favorite team, as they swoop and glide through nine innings.

I love the illustations in Bats at the Beach. One of my daughters and I just love bats and bat wtaching. If we had known about these books when she was younger, then I am sure that she would have loved them.
