Traditional Christmas Card Messages

Updated on September 11, 2017

Make someone feel very special and much loved this Christmas, stay connected with your faraway friends, or simply give a gift of a beautiful greeting that’ll give a little smile, a word of cheer, and ‘oodles’ of love to someone you hold dear.

Yes, it is very easy to get lost in the flurry of activities in the build-up of excitement before the festive season and this usually consists of . . . Shopping! Shopping! AND Shopping!

But we must all remember that it’s part of the season’s fun to take in the beauty and true meaning of Christmas which asides buying presents, decorating and cooking, is sending out warm season’s greetings.

Sometimes messages are worth more than gold, or well, worth more than a nicely wrapped present, so, make yours one of those treasures by conveying beautiful Christmas greeting that express best wishes of:

  • Joy
  • Happiness
  • Peace
  • Tranquillity
  • Love
  • Passion
  • Friendship
  • Togetherness
  • Kindness
  • Prosperity

Some Beautiful Christmas Messages

Christmas is a time for cherishing those who bring so many blessings to our lives, so here are a few personal messages to give ideas on what you can write on your greeting cards . . . Remember; this festive season is much more than holiday parties and giving out Christmas gifts.

A message of peace - May this season and the coming year bring you abundant peace which passes all human understanding. May you experience awesome tranquility and as you walk your path may it bring you contentment.

A message of joy and happiness – At this cherished time of the year, may your life and that of your loved ones be filled with loads of joy and buckets full of happiness, with each new day in December bringing you moments you’ll cherish.

A message to a friend – I just wanted you to know how much I cherish and value your friendship. I many not express it in many words, but I want you to know how much I appreciate you with these few words. I wish you a very beautiful Christmas and pray we will enjoy many more years together as friends.

Appreciating kindness - On this most blessed season, I wish you love and blessings for all your care and kindness. I hope this Christmas, the New Year, and beyond will bring you many days of happiness and joy, just as you have brought such into my life.

Blessings – May the light of love radiating from our Saviour shine upon you and yours this Christmas and may your hearts feel that love not only now, but throughout the coming year.

A Little Yuletide Prayer

I pray that your Christmas be filled with the true miracles and meanings of this most precious and beautiful time of the year.

May it fill you all with joy, laughter, abundant love, goodwill, comfort, peace, and happiness that’ll last not only at this time, but throughout the coming year!

Merry Christmas to you all!

And a happy and prosperous New Year of course!

i know Joleen, it's a shame technology seems to be wiping out the old but dearly loved tradition of sending & receiving Christmas cards.

      Thanks for visiting Joleen.

      Cheers

I love getting Christmas cards...I have definitely seen a decrease in cards in the mail over the last few years as people now either text you a Merry Christmas message or send you a facebook message instead.

It seems the culture of giving Christmas cards is slowly waning, and its such a shame.

However, there are some of us that still cherish the good old Xmas card.

Thanks for the tip on eco friendly cards. that calls for a hub on that. LOL!!

Thanks for visiting and for your comments.

      Cheers.

Great Hub! Christmas cards are always a treasured part of the holiday season. One thing I want to add is that purchasing cards made from recycled materials is another eco-friendly choice.
