Best educational toys for kids under 10

Updated on August 6, 2013

Give the Valentine's Day gift of knowledge this year with educational toys for kids under 10

This Valentine's Day, challenge the budding mind of children with these best educational toys for kids under 10. The toys you'll find on this Squidoo article will stimulate your child's interest in science and the wonders of the world. How many kids on your block will follow the lifecycle of a praying mantis or butterfly in their own home - I think it would be a great exercise to then allow the adult insect to roam free and foster kindness toward animals in children.

The educational toys listed here are best for those children under the age of 10, but there's some things that I personally wouldn't mind having under my own Christmas tree this year such as experiencing the explosive side of earth science by making an exploding volcano!

These are great ideas for kids. I especially like the praying mantis kit. Great way to have an easy to care for "pet".

Keep in mind that sometimes the best toys are the simplest toys- the low-tech, the cardboard box it came in, the recycling... their imaginations will find the fun in just about anything. On the other hand, I love the techy-toys too :) Great site!

      Happy Christmas!
