Best Ever Pumpkin Recipes

Updated on February 13, 2015

One of the Best Things About Halloween is...

pumpkin food!! I adore pumpkin anything ~ ice cream, cakes, pie, donuts, mousse, cupcakes, empanadas, tarts, cookies, and anything else pumpkin flavored! If it's pumpkin and spices and warm...well, you'd better get what you want before I find it, because I'll eat whatever is left! Hey, give a girl a break, it ain't easy maintaining this bulk.

My All-Time Favorite Pumpkin Recipe - oh yeah, it's yummy

I usually get the pecan pumpkin butter from Williams-Sonoma in our local mall, but you can only get it during the holidays (and from what I understand, at the physical stores, not online), so make sure you stock up or you'll have to order it directly from Muirhead Foods and pay for shipping (which really isn't very pricey).

First Batch This Year (Sept 8th)!!! - Don't kid yourself ~ everyone loves these and begs me to make them!

Other Pumpkin Butters Than William's Sonoma

If you get your pumpkin butter elsewhere just make sure you check ounces so you have enough. If you have some extra left over, spread it on toast or make a delicious peanut butter and pumpkin butter sandwich-that's a lot of butter-but oh so good!

I made my first ever pumpkin anything last week: chocolate chip pumpkin bread. It ended up being rich and dense and amazing, and I don't even like pumpkin!

My favorite recipe is one I found on a can of pumpkin - bars that are similar to the Toll House chocolate chip cookie recipe, except with pumpkin, white chocolate chips, and macadamia nuts - yum. But you're recipes sound wonderful too.

I'll be trying your pumpkin ring recipe. I have a lot of squash left from the garden and I'll substitute that for the pumpkin. Thank you for the recipes.

A delicious lens with lots of easy-to-follow recipes. I agree with Poutine; pumpkin muffins are terrific. I invented an easy recipe a few years ago which uses fine oat bran instead of flour, sugar substitute (Splenda) instead of sugar, and egg substitute (Egg Beater) instead of egg. It had all the usual spices ( cinnamon, ginger, allspice, vanilla). I originally made it with Chinese sweet potatoes...which tastes a lot richer than pumpkin...but canned pumpkin is easier. Never copied down the recipe, but you can pretty much eyeball the mixture as you're making it and not go too far wrong.

@burgessvillian: Okay, 1.) Please tell your wife I need her pie recipe because I LOVE pie, especially pumpkin, but have never found a terrific recipe, just the normal stuff. 2.) When your pumpkins are ripe, please contact me for my address so you can send some! 3.) Thanks for visiting and I was only kidding about #2 (sort of)! :D

Have you tried using Lumina Pumpkins in your recipes? They are one type of the white pumpkins. I've read that they bake well and have a sweeter taste.
