Top Ten Gift Ideas for a 35 Year Old Woman

I am a 35 year old women so if you're looking for a gift guide for a 35 year old lady, you've come to the right place.

I realize that to opposite gender and to females who aren't 35 it can be pretty hard to know what to buy somebody of my age. Obviously we aren't all the same and this gift guide is actually quite a personal list. It follows my likes, dislikes and personal tastes. Having said this, it should give you some ideas. Or you might find the 35 year old you know would like similar gifts to myself.

The gift ideas listed are based on presents which were given to me on my 35th birthday and last Christmas which I've really appreciated. Some of the ideas are actually items that I've bought myself during my 35th year so far. Other suggestions are things I haven't got but would really appreciate.

I have a couple of favorite beauty products which are more expensive than the other and that I always appreciate if given as a gift for my birthday.

One of my favorite is Paul Mitchell's Super Skinny Serum.

I am really interested in using alternative energy so any gifts that make this possible really interest me.

Like many 35 year olds, I'm super busy. I have 2 boys so when my mother in law bought me a family organizer calendar last Christmas I was very grateful. Its been extremely handy, I put it in my kitchen so I can look and see at a glance what everybody has going on in the coming week.

I'm know I'm not the only 35 year old like this. My neighbor received a family organisor in a diary format.

It the 35 year old you know doesn't have a family, chances are she's pretty busy anyway so a similar product may also be a good idea.

There's nothing better than putting on a some comfortable clothing at the end of the day to chill out in and relax.

I always get a pair of pajamas from my mother in law at Christmas and they are always used lots. A nice gift that's easy to buy.

I like working out and keeping fit. I do circuit training and kettlebell workouts in classes outside the home. But sometimes with other commitments I feel like I've not got enough time to do the workouts that I would like to do so a home workout DVD would make a great gift for me.

I've been researching what I would like and the exercise DVDs such as Insanity and P90X appeal to me because they look like they will get results. Jillian Michael's workouts also look good and are a good option to do on days when I can't get to a class.

I think many 35 year old women would be interested in fitness gifts. You can get DVD workouts which aren't as intense as the ones mentioned above. There's also a gadget called a Fitbit that looks quite interesting. It tracks steps, distance, calories burned and stairs climbed. It can help you get fitter by setting and reaching goals. It also monitors how long and how well you sleep.

I'm a busy working mom with 2 boys. I confess - My house could sometimes be cleaner and sometimes I don't have enough time to cook the healthiest meals I would like.

Therefore any time saving gadgets are always welcome with me. Here is one which is one the lower budget end but looks like a nifty little gadget to have in the kitchen.

Accessories are another nice easy gift to buy and there are so many different accessories that women my age love.

Ideas include jewelry, hair accessories, purses, sunglasses, winter hats, scarves and gloves.

The best accessories often depend on the season. Sunhats and the like are obviously good choices for Summer.

My birthday is in October and I get gifts at Christmas so I quite often get Winter accessories. Last Christmas I received a beautiful scarf and glove set. I also got some really warm boot slippers like the ones below.

It's hard to go wrong with accessories. Here are a few more options.

I love the texting gloves - I have a similar pair and they are really useful not just for texting but for having easy access to your fingers to do other things like tend to children or do up buttons of your coat.

Being spoiled is quite an open gift idea and can mean different things to different people. Here is some ideas of how somebody could spoil me.

- Take me out for a meal while somebody else looks after my boys for the night.

- Take me away for a night away to a nice hotel as above.

- Beauty treatment (pedicure, manicure, facial, etc)

- Afternoon tea (could be made at home or go out)

- A day out with the family

- Cook me a really nice meal

Also I quite like the idea of experience days as a gift.

Being 35, I have quite a few 35 year old friends and know quite a few ladies in their mid thirties. So in research for this article, I asked them about the kinds of gifts they like to receive.
