Why Honey cakes?

Jewish tradition is eating some foods on Rosh Hashana ,one of tham is "The Honey cake" to have a sweet year..

There some recipes ,i would like to let you the best..Chag Sameach Ve Shana Tova(Happy new Year!!)

#1 Great smelling honey cake


2 cups (350 grams) flour

2 teaspoons baking powder

1 teaspoon baking soda

4 eggs

1 cup (240 ml) oil

1 cup (200 grams) sugar (I 180 g)

1 cup (320 grams) of honey

1 tablespoon cinnamon

1 teaspoon ground ginger

Pinch of cloves

1 cup (240 ml) boiling coffee (coffee powder spoon and cup boiling water)


One. Preheat oven to 160 degrees

Two. Sift flour with baking powder and baking soda in a large bowl.

3. Beat eggs in a separate bowl with the oil, sugar, honey, cinnamon, ginger and cloves.

4. Make a well and pour the flour mixture to the liquid. Mix just until blended without lumps. Pour hot coffee mixture two times - three and predators quickly for a smooth and very thin.

5. Immediately pour the batter into the pan upholstered follow-baking.

Strict height batter shall not exceed two-thirds the height of the walls is very reduced in cake baking.

Bake the cake for 35-40 minutes. (For those who prefer small baking baking Bkoktim continues - about 20 minutes Individual cakes).

Bake until a toothpick stuck in the center of the cake comes out almost dry (with moist crumbs).


Can be baked in a round or two loaf pans - Cake,

Or 12 muffins.

#2 Honey-Cocoa cake


2 eggs

1 cup honey

1 cup sugar

1 cup boiling water

1 cup oil

2 cups flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 tsp bicarbonate of soda

2 tablespoons cocoa.


Mix the dry materials.

Mixer bowl mix the eggs, honey, sugar and oil.

Add the dry materials and finally the boiling water.

Stir slowly.

Grease a loaf pan, heat the oven to medium heat - 175 degrees

Bake for 25 minutes

#3 Orange -honey cake


300g self-raising flour

300 g of honey

1/2 cup orange juice

Grated orange rind one complete

6 eggs

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

½ cup orange peel


Melt the butter in the microwave, add it while hot the grated orange peel, honey, orange juice, and vanilla extract.

Beat egg yolks with sugar.

Connecting the two mixtures

Add the flour.

Beat egg whites until stiff, fold it into the mixture.

Add the citrons after Skimhno them with a little flour.

Grease a rectangular Pyrex and flour lightly.

Pour the mixture into

Preheat the oven to medium - 170-180 degrees and bake for between 40 to 40 minutes, or until a toothpick stuck in the center of the cake comes out dry.

Sugar and shake cleave evenly. Put mixture in and bake 45 minutes at 180 degrees
