Do You Love Amelie?
I am a life-long Amelie fan and one of the aspects of this movie that I just love is the focus on photobooths. I'm talking about those crazy little spaces where the camera clicks three or four times, in succession, you get the chance to make the craziest poses, and the result is 4 shots of you (and maybe your gang) - but I am not going to make you go to the mall or the train station or wherever, I'm bringing the photobooth to you via La Photocabine, where you can make postcards on the spot!
This photobooth is free, unless you want to order cheap postcards. You can print, save to your computer, post on facebook or twitter, or email your images FOR FREE!!!
Join me in an exploration of the photobooth experience and why we enjoy it so much. I'd like to learn about your perspectives on the photobooth experience and portrait photography, in general. I have some of my own philosophies and ideas that I'd like to share and I am hoping you will want to join in the conversation and put your own ideas out there for the world to consider.

I'm talking about those tiny little boxes with a curtain, a mirror, and a flash. Have you ever used one to take photos of yourself or you and friends or family?
(the photos above are "Timmy Tomato" as created by my Mom. He is barfing. I guess he got into the "sauce.") :D
Have You Ever Used A Photobooth?
What Does A Photobooth Look Like?
Have you ever been to a mall, airport, train station, or bus station and seen the little booth that has a fabric curtain with flashes coming out between the spaces not covered by the walls or curtain? That is likely a photobooth! If it has been a long time since you were in a photobooth, or if you've never been in one, or if you've never even heard of photobooths, you might want to watch this exceptionally kooky video to get an idea of how it works. I also recommend that you watch Amelie!
When you do your online shots, you get to see yourself in the viewfinder as the shots are taken. Also, in any photobooth, there isn't a person inside doing the shots - what? That wasn't your question? You never even thought about that? Well, photobooths are automated, just like la photocabine.
Enjoy this video - it's fun, inspirational, and the little guy's emotions take me over the top!

A Great Computer
I write and write and write. But I can only do it on my computer. Having a good computer, one that you can rely on to handle your information and images, is invaluable. If you are struggling with your machine, consider an Acer Aspire.
I have tried Toshiba and been extremely disappointed with their customer service. We had to pay them to call them for support. Very odd.
I have had an Acer computer crash and burn, within the warranty period, and Acer replaced the machine. No run around. Simple. Straightforward.
My Acer Aspire has a built in camera. Perfect for La Photocabine. :)

Happy Father's Day, See How Good I Look With Teeth, I Love YOU!
Really, the opportunities and messages are endless. And there is nothing like the ambience of a photobooth image. You've got to try it!
The introduction of the web cam to the world brought people in far away countries closer together. Sending photos of yourself via email is fantastic. The La Photocabine images can be saved to your computer and you can use them on Facebook. The options are endless.
Often web cams are built into your computer.

You can see that some subjects are not good at posing. This is our cat. She likes her own behind. ;)
Send It To Your Friends - hee hee heeeeeeeee
Honestly. Why not? You can take photos of yourself and send them to your friends via e-mail, twitter, facebook - it's really limitless.
They play the greatest music in the background while you're getting your photos taken. Lounge lizard. It's like weird elevator music. Makes me laugh every time I hear it.
And remember: if you don't like the photos, start over - yes, again! You can shoot and discard strips of photos as much as you want.
When was the last time you sent your Mom a goofy photo of yourself? For some strange reason, we all get goofy at photobooths. Even jaded teenagers, who get pushed in front of the camera, start to act weird.
I have this awful history of making goofy faces whenever a camera comes out. It's awful, really, because when I look back at images of myself, I look like I'm crazy. No beauty shots for me. How sad is that?
Talking About Your Mom....
This is the ideal photo frame for your Mom. You can save innumerable versions of La Photocabine shots that you can put onto this machine and give it to your Mom.
Parent's often feel a need to hold onto photos, plastering their walls with them. Release your loved-ones from the art limitations of family photos and get them a programmable digital photo frame. They'll love you forever, anyway.
On The Road?
I love to travel. Having access to this service means I can send images of everything and anything via email or postcard to anywhere in the world, instantly!
Last Christmas I sent La Photocabine cards out and people thought I had spent Christmas in France!!!! What a great side benefit - it certainly made for lots of laughter when my friends and family called to talk about my "trip."
I also love La Photocabine. I tried to figure out who it's linked to and I kept getting connected with a radio station where everything is written in French. I couldn't understand what I was reading. So, this is going to require further work on my part. If you learn anything about La Photocabine, please leave a comment and I'll work your info into this article!
Are you a goof, like me, or do you smile and get that fabulous, one-of-a-kind photo every time you see a camera?
How Do You Behave For Photos?
What is the craziest thing you have ever "photographed" in a photobooth? Please keep it as "clean" as you can for this g-rated article.

I kid you not - it's super easy. No special software required. What a crazy world!

3. generate a file for sharing and then use your online accounts to share it across the universe
3. switch to "gif strip on"
4. download your file onto your computer for sharing digitally at a later time5. generate a file for sharing
7. PLEASE NOTE:
