Running Tops

When buying a decent running top these days you have to think about more than whether it just looks good. You want to consider the material it's made out of which can help keep a runner cooler and dryer. Its not only just comfort that needs to be considered but also safety features such as reflection levels for running in low light and UPF ultraviolet protection factors to keep skin protected from harmful UV rays.

It's made with 100 percent polyester lightning dry fabric so it wicks moisture away from your body, keeping you cool and dry.

It's also machine washable.

Great for running, working out in the gym or for other sports too.

Running bottles

Keeping hydrated while on a long run is essential. So being able to run comfortably while being able to carry around a supply of water has to be something that runners must consider. Most bottles can carry enough water whether its training for a 5k or a half marathon. The bottle should be comfortable to hold and easy to use. Also most bottles have an extra pocket to carry a mobile phone or whatever else they might want to take with them.

It also has a large pocket to store your smart phone.

As well as running it could also be used for hiking, in the gym or on a bike ride.

Sport Armbands for Iphone etc

Most people enjoy running with music so a sports armband that can safely carry their iphone or mp3 player is a must. Comfort and the ability to still use the device are important as well as the arm bands ability to hold the device without the risk of it coming out.

Armpocket® Aero i-10 "The Ultimate Armband"

Having your iphone with you when you run enables you to listen to music and have access to apps which allow you to measure your time, distance and to have GPS.

I love to have my iphone with my when I'm running which is why for me an iphone armband is a must.

Jaybird Freedom Stereo Bluetooth Earbuds

JayBird Freedom Bluetooth Earbuds, Retail Packaging, Midnight Black

Like most people, I like to listen to music while running so a decent pair of ear phones is essential but there are a few things to keep in mind when buying. It can be annoying to have a cord flapping around. These ear buds solve that problem perfectly. They connect to the mp3 player via Bluetooth (check that their player is has it first - most phones do). Then all you have is a small cable connect each ear piece up that discreetly goes around the back of the head. I found these very easy to use and it was almost like not having any in at all after a while. They come with a variety of different ear pieces so you can find the best fit. They charge up via a standard USB connector found on all computers and last for 5 hours!

You also tend to sweat a lot when running and these seem to be resistant to moisture so they won't short out even on the heaviest workouts.

Headsweats Race Performance Running/Outdoor Sports Hat

If you're running or training hard sweat getting in the eyes can be a problem. This hat can solve that . Sure there are lots of other hats available but I liked these because they were light and easy to wash. The also keep the sweat out of my eyes and I've been using them for a few years now. It beads wearing a sweat band (in my opinion). They come in numerous colors and are a bargain.

Running Leggings for Women

CW-X Women's 3/4 Length Stabilyx Tights (Black, Large)
CW-X Women's 3/4 Length Stabilyx Tights (Black, Large)

My wife swears by a good pair of leggings when out running and having done some research for site I can see why. These pair are much more than just good lucking. They provide a lot of extra support which can prevent injuries. They even claim to reduce lactic acid build up which means you can run longer distances without getting as tired. Shorts can be worn over this type and they are easy to wash or rinse in the shower and are quite durable. Look at them an the amazon website as it tells you a whole host of other benefits also. I might even start wearing some!

MP3 players for running

For the runner who likes listening to music a small mp3 player is another good gift idea.
