Haunted Houses, Halloween, Walking Dead Parties - So Many Opportunities for Blood and Gore
I originally created this page for friends wanting to create scary Halloween costumes. Then it expanded for those needing awesome effects for the characters in their haunted houses. It seems like every community in the U.S. has one major haunted house with creepy, gory effects. Most have smaller haunted houses throughout the community as well.
Now with the tremendous success of the Walking Dead television series, there's even more demand for blood and gore make-up. Planning a Walking Dead party for your friends? Set a date, set your television to show a marathon of episodes from the series, stock in some great food and ask all the attendees to come in their best zombie looks.
Horrible, Gory Make Up
for Halloween or the Theater
A Horrifying Make Up - Bloody Burn Victim
This kit has what you need to look like the victim of a serious burn. There are 2 professional burn prosthetics made of latex. It has spirit gum and remover, makeup and the instructions for applying it all.
This could be a great look for a car wreck scene with a burned-out car such as used in some of the high school scared-straight videos.

Ugh... Exposed, Bloody Brains - for a costume or performance
This is great if you want to be a murder victim or a zombie.
How about accessorizing your costume with an automobile steering wheel. With this prosthetic, you 'll look like you just emerged from a horrendous car wreck.

Reel F/X Nosferatu Prosthetics - Ugh, this effect is really gory
If you don't know Nosferatu the Vampyre, he's legendary and was one of the earliest thriller movies made, back in the day of black and white film without sound.
For the true vampire effect, I'd think you would want this wound on the neck area, not on the shoulder like this picture shows.

Add a Safety Pinned Appliance - for a really gory look for Halloween
You can apply this to an arm like it shows here or see how it looks on a face (click through to Amazon). Now this is punk looking for sure.
Safety Pinned Gash
This bloody wound is awesome. It turns my stomach just looking at it.
Gnawed by a Werewolf? - Pre-painted latex prosthetic, adhesive and remover for neck wound
Have your partner dress as a werewolf and you'll make a great pair.
There's no question that this fellow is in rough shape after being attacked by a grizzly bear or a werewolf. Very effective appliance.
For a Halloween party, he could dress in a hunting outfit and tell everyone stories about the huge grizzly bear that attacked him.
Ouch Open Wound Kit - Rubie's Costume Co Reel F/X
This one is quite inexpensive and just look at the terrific look it gives.
Open Wound Kit
This is a latex prosthetic and it comes with the adhesive to apply it and also some solvent for removing it afterwards.
One person used this for 7 nights of haunted house performances. He's cleaned it up and saving it for next year. Worth buying, I'd say, as the price is pretty modest.
Use the Products Below to Apply or Remove the Make-Up
Barrier Setting Spray
When you are applying layers of make-up and don't want them to stick together, use this barrier setting spray. It keeps your special make-up from smearing. It's what professional performers use.

High Schools and Gore
These open wounds would be great for a scared straight event such as some high schools put on. They stage a car crash to show the results of drunk driving and dress the scene up with wounds and lots of blood.
