Book Clocks for Book Lovers

Updated on October 22, 2013

It's easy to lose track of time when you're lost in a book, so this clock will help the bookworm in your life keep in touch with the real world. A friend of mine has one on the wall just above her bookcase and it makes you look twice because at first glance it looks like three books sitting up above the rest.

This one has blue, yellow and red books and is bright and colorful, but there are other colors too. It is 8 by 7 by 8 inches and runs off an A4 battery.

Readers are easy people to buy gift for. My friends and relatives know I will always be happy with a book or a book voucher, and most of my friends are also bookworms so I get them books too. One of the problems is that with many of my friends being interstate I don’t know at which point they will switch from physical books to kindles and e-books. The books will always be welcomed, but sometimes it's nice to get something a bit different, and this book clock hits the spot.

It’s only made of a cardboard-type material, but it certainly looks like real books and weighs around 1.2 pounds so it is easy to hang it on the wall if you don’t want to have it on a shelf among real books.

If you are buying a gift for a reader and don’t know which book to buy them, think outside the square and buy them a book clock instead of a book this year.

Thank you for sharing that they are made of "a cardboard-like material." That was helpful, and I agree with you and with josietook, who commented earlier, that this is indeed a fun idea for a book lover.
