Only weeks before baby girls 1st birthday me and my best friend sat on the couch and contemplated what theme we were going to use for the party. She had an AMAZING idea... LADYBUGS!! So the planning started :) We pulled out the notebooks and started researching the web for Decorations, Party Favors... You know, All that fun stuff! If you are planning a Lady Bug Birthday you have definitely come to the right lens!

Whats A Ladybug Party... - Without Real Life Ladybugs!
My dad Becca & Brooklyns "Papa" went out of his way to track down these little critters! Every where he went they were sold out. Finally at a plant nursery we hit the jackpot and found them. Im not entirely sure wether these critters are available year round for purchase but i do know they fight off all the bugs in the gardens so you may be able to purchase them at your local garden center. These ladybugs absolutely COMPLETED the party! Not only did the kids have a blast but they are still talking about it today!
Lady Bug Theme - Heres our Dessert Table
Red, Black & White was a very Fun theme! Is was especially easy since my daughters birthday was in June so they had everything on sell for 4th of July lots and lots of Red & White Plates & Bowls the Dollar Tree & 99cent store were my favorite! We ordered the cupcake picks online and simply had food 4 less make the cupcakes i added some red & black sprinkles and ta da the cupcakes were completed! (more on the cupcakes later) Party City sells candy in solid colors for themes so i picked up some red, black & white chocolates can you say YUMMY!? Last but not lease licorice! Im not a fan of the black but red licorice! Delicious! Cake Table was a cute success!
Cupcakes, Cupcakes , Cupcakes!
How cute are they eating there cupcakes!!! If only you seen the aftermath! I was wearing a white shirt this day and lets just say at the end of the day it appeared to be a red shirt! I was scrubbing RED frosting out of clothes hair and faces for a couple days! But it was worth it! I have to think of a better way to color frosting without having it stain everything that touches it!

The Kids Had So Much Fun!
We got lady bug houses and little nets for the kids to catch the little critters! They had so much fun, the younger kids were chasing them all around and were just COVERED in ladybugs! Some of the older kids were afraid of the little red flying spotted bugs it was quite funny! Heres Bryson one of Rebeccas BEST friends! Me and Brysons mommy Kelly grew up together we met when my mom moved to the same street as her i was 3 years old. Its so great to watch our kids grow up together!
Ladybug Activities... - First we started off by painting Ladybugs :)
At the Dollar tree i found at the bottom of the bin wooden ladybugs so i picked up some paint and brushes and this was the first activity of the day! The kids loved painting they even had matching ladybug aprons :) Once they completed their painting project they got to move on to creating their bags we had paint and little foam stickers for the kids they did such a great job! Also if you take a close look at Brysons arm we did lady bug temporary tattoos that were purchased from Party City.
