Cheese fact

There are hundreds of different types of cheese that can be differentiated both by the type of milk - raw, skimmed or pasteurised, and by the animal - cow, goat, sheep, buffalo, horse or camel.

Cheese slicer made easy - Slice it any way you want through thick and thin

This attractive natural finished beechwood cheese slicer and server tray has a well for serving crackers or fruits along with sliced cheese. The convenient slicer works like a paper cutter and efficiently slices through semi-soft cheese or harder cheese like a charm.

Cheese boards with a built-in high-tension cutting wire can cut through semi-soft cheese, like Havarti and Gouda without sticking, and harder cheeses, like Asiago and Manchego without breaking. You can control the slices to whatever thickness you wish up to the thinnest slices to serve with crackers or bruschetta. What I like about the cheese slicer is that all the slices are uniformly and cleanly cut which add to the beauty of presentation during a get-together. This beechwood slicer is easy clean with a rinse with warm soapy water and oil occasionally with minieral oil to maintain the wood grain. The stainless steel wire is under warranty by the manufacturer.

Versatile cheese slicers without the knife - An indispensable kitchen tool

Cheese slicers are the perfect sizes for the home. A taut wire cuts the cheese without the need for a knife. These versatile cheese slicers come in sustainable bamboo, beech wood, marble and granite.

Put one on the breakfast, lunch or dinner table and let family members or guests cut their own cheese slices. A perfect slice every time.

Cheeses from around the world - Name that cheese!

This is a sampling of different cheeses I buy when expecting guests over. This include semi-soft Fontina from Italy, Havarti from Denmark, Panquehue from Chile, smoked Gouda from Holland, and White Stilton with dired dates and orange from UK, and Longhorn Colby cheese from Wisconsin, good ol' U.S.A. As soon as these are unwrapped and placed on a cheese board for serving, there is no way for guests to identify all the cheese slices they have just tasted. Labeling the various exotic cheeses make for good conversation. This is the reason why cheese markers are important.

Cheese markers in silver, porcelain, nickel, pewter

Cheese markers come in variety of materials. Some are permanently labeled with the cheese name. If you are one of those that like to try different cheeses like myself, then the porcelain markers which come with an erasable pen will come in handy.

Erasable and can be used over and over again. Order more than one set if you are planning a wine and cheese party. Don't let your guests keep guessing.

Serve cheese at room temperature

Chilled cheeses should be taken out of the refrigerator one and a half hours before serving. This allows the flavour and aroma to develop.

Sports-themed cheese board - Customize your cheese board and tools

These cheese boards make great gifts for the sports aficionados. For the golfer, football, baseball or soccer fans, any of these cheese board designs will bring delight. Cheese tool sets can be purchased separately. This give you the option of choosing a serrated spreader for soft cheese, a cheese knife for harder cheese, a forked knife to hold the cheese while cutting it.

Cheese tools and knives - There is one for soft and hard cheeses

DIfferent kinds of cheese come with different textures and firmness. There are semi-soft cheeses and hard cheeses to contend with, hence the need for various cheese tools. Each one serve its purpose.

Awesome designs! I like the tiered cheeseboard and the ones with slide out trays for the cheese knives. The one with extra cracker space is awesome too. Nothing like cutting into a block of Havarti and spreading it on some crackers mmm.
